Bezüglich der Nutzung der Datenbank sind folgende Hinweise zu beachten. Die EEBus Initiative e.V. veröffentlich lediglich Daten, die auf Testergebnissen Dritter basieren. Der Zweck der Datenbank besteht darin, sich einen ersten informativen Überblick zu verschaffen, welche Hersteller bereits Gerätschaften hinsichtlich ihrer Kompatibilität in Bezug auf den EEBUS Standard getestet haben. Dies bedeutet nicht, dass alle in der Liste aufgeführten Geräte tatsächlich eine entsprechende Kompatibilität aufweisen. Die Überprüfung einer Einzelkompatibilität kann durch die Datenbank nicht ersetzt werden.
